Amani Longishu is a Tanzanian digital marketing consultant, entrepreneur, and educator. For years, he has helped businesses across Tanzania understand how to use digital platforms to reach customers and grow.
His journey began in 2018, when he started learning digital marketing, social media, online advertising, and content creation on his own. By July 2019, he was sharing what he had learned online, tips meant to show other business owners what was possible on the internet. What started as a personal habit of learning and sharing slowly grew into a career.
One of his earliest defining moments came when a business owner told him they had sold more than 100 products from a single sponsored Instagram advertisement. For Amani, it was proof that the strategies he was learning and teaching could produce real, measurable results for a business.
Another turning point came through a client whose business began selling to customers in neighbouring countries, powered by Meta advertising. Watching a small business reach beyond its own borders confirmed what Amani had come to believe: digital advertising can open doors that were once out of reach for small businesses.
In April 2024, Amani founded Optiza Digital, turning years of hands-on experience into a structured agency built to help Tanzanian businesses grow through digital platforms.
Alongside his client work, Amani has continued building an audience and sharing practical knowledge online. Today he reaches more than 65,000 followers on Instagram and 34,000 on TikTok. His course, Uza Deilee, has trained more than 1,500 students in practical strategies for selling and growing a business online.
From learning digital marketing in 2018, to sharing his first tips a year later, to watching businesses turn his strategies into real sales, Amani’s journey has been guided by one idea: digital skills create real economic opportunity when they are applied well. Today, he continues to create content, build digital products and courses, and teach practical marketing and entrepreneurship to audiences in Tanzania and beyond.
His story is a reminder that a career can start with something as simple as learning a skill and sharing what you know, and grow into something much bigger.
