How to Learn Digital Skills in 15 Minutes a Day
You want to learn digital skills. But you are busy. Work, family, business. When will you find time?
Here is a secret: you do not need hours. You need 15 minutes, every day, for one skill.
Why 15 minutes works
A small task is easy to start. When it is easy, you do it again tomorrow. After a few weeks, you can do something you could not do before. Big plans often fail. Small habits grow.
Step 1: Pick ONE skill for the month
Do not try to learn everything. Pick one thing that helps your life or work now:
- Make a poster on Canva
- Set up WhatsApp Business
- Make a CV on your phone
- Set up a professional email
- Keep customer names in a spreadsheet
- Improve your LinkedIn profile
Step 2: Choose a fixed time
Pick one time you can keep. For example, after morning tea, on the bus, or before sleep. Put an alarm on your phone.
Step 3: Follow this 4 week plan
- Week 1: Watch and read. Learn the basics from one good tutorial. Write 3 notes.
- Week 2: Copy. Do the same steps on your own phone. Make mistakes. That is learning.
- Week 3: Make your own. Create something real. A poster for your shop. A CV for your next job.
- Week 4: Share and improve. Show it to a friend or customer. Ask what to change. Change it.
Step 4: Use your own real project
You learn faster when you work on something real. Do not only watch videos. Make something you can use this week.
Step 5: Keep it cheap
Save your bundle. Read How to Save Data and Use Less Bundle When Working Online.
Step 6: Track your days
Mark each day you finish on a calendar or a piece of paper. Seeing the days grow helps you keep going. If you miss a day, start again the next day. Do not quit.
You do not need more time. You need a small step you can repeat.
